Whether you are well into your journey or feel like you are just beginning, everything you have been doing to grow and know up to this point has helped prepare you for what comes next. This information can be a beneficial resource when things seem a bit “wonky” and may help you determine if what appears to be taking place in and around you is a unique experience for you or if we are likely experiencing as a whole, but are avoiding speaking about our experiences out loud. I encourage you to refer back to this throughout the month and go easy on yourself. :)
June was a great time of clearing, letting go, assimilating and practicing the fine art of Balance. Balance is key! Taking time to “play” and allow distance from distracting thoughts and situations can help give more clarity and perspective which readily allows for more growth and expansion. Read, play music, laugh, sing, dance, garden, explore, relax, daydream…give your body and your mid permission, space and support to do and BE in a different way. Are you spending equal time laughing, playing and relaxing as you are working?
As we are presented continually with opportunities of “letting go” of who and what no longer supports and enhances us…whether it’s thoughts, beliefs, relationships, patterns/habits…the gentleness of this time and energy is in place to support our decisions and helps us move forward with ease. Like finding an old sweater in the back of your closet and saying, “Hmmm, I didn’t know this was in here” and deciding it is time to clear it out and make room for something new, so are the choices for change in your own life and Being.
The idea of “letting go” of that which has been familiar and/or constant in our lives and venturing into the “unknown” can feel unsettling and we may even experience trepidation when stepping into this unfamiliar territory (and there is quite a bit of “unknown” taking place right now). Take heart my friends; this unknown is a beautiful thing.
Our imaginations have a tendency to run rampant and make up “road blocks” that aren’t even there. The more we practice quieting the “noise,” staying present, moving forward with FAITH & Gratitude, laughing, and consciously choosing how we experience our experiences, as we continue stepping into the unknown will prove to be beneficial practices in creating a more gentle journey in the long run. I have learned to laugh even more, especially when I know I don’t know what is happening or why and when the unexpected, “magical” or “miraculous” happens, it’s so much fun chuckling as if I just got the punch line (and sometimes that’s what it feels like).
Some of you may be experiencing a stillness that may feel like a holding pattern, and it just might be that. If this is your experience, FAITH comes in very handy in those moments. I have a hunch your wings are itchin’ to expand and soar. It’s quite OK to stretch them out now and again and then fine tune the areas needing attention…you will be flying high before you know it! Keep your thoughts and words positive and know that everything is getting into place and you are preparing for the moment it all comes together…it’s all there waiting and ready…are you?
As my favorite group, Dave Matthews Band, basically says in their song “You Might Die Trying,” in the past, choosing to do something might have felt BIG, however, once you have a “Go” at it now, you will most likely be surprised with the results and it will get easier the more you do it:
“To change the world start with one step
However small the first step is hardest of all
Once you get your gait you will walk in tall
You said you never did ‘cause you might die trying”
FREEDOM is yours as you celebrate the beauty and uniqueness that is YOU!
Give it a GO!
